The Banjo Reimagined: The Cigar Box Bullet Banjo

At Smoky Mountain Bullet Banjos, we specialize in truly unique, handcrafted instruments that are as much a piece of art as they are a joy to play.

Our signature product is the one-of-a-king Cigar Box Bullet Banjo. We take reclaimed cigar boxes--each with its own history and character, and transform them into wonderfully resonant instruments. But what truly sets these beauties apart is our distinct hardware.

The Bridges are the Bullets: The upper and lower bridges on every bnanjo (excluding kits) are custom-crafted from repurposed .44 magnum shells. This feature not only gives our banjos their distinctive name, but also provides a sharp, clear, and truly unforgetable tone.

Whether you are an experienced player or looking for the "Perfect Campfire Companion" (as we like to call them), our banjos are designed to be played, displayed, adn cherished.

Visit Us Today!

We have been hard at work stocking the shelves with our latest creations like the "Rock-a-Billy" Premium and "The Checkmate" Premium Cigar Box Banjos, and our Mini Bullet Banjos. Come see the craftsmanship up close, learn the story behind the build, adn maybe even pick out your next favorite instrument.

We can't wait to meet you and share a bit of our mountain music tradition!
